The HOKA Gaviota 5 Running Shoes feature a thick layer of cushioning that delivers a lot of underfoot protection. HOKA's MetaRocker™ technology also helps reduce the load on your working muscles. This is because the curved heel-to-toe geometry promotes forward movement.
Even though the midsole is very cushioned, it feels very stable and supportive. A lot of the stability stems from HOKA's H-Frame™ technology. The H-Frame sits on top of - and interlocks with - the midsole to create a secure base.
Additionally, the midsole base is very broad - making it inherently stable. As the midsole foam isn't overly soft, your feet should feel very planted.
