Advice for Road Runners: The On Women's Cloudboom Max Running Shoes are specifically designed to meet the needs of runners aiming to finish a marathon in around 4 hours. In short, this model is a super-shoe for the 'everyday' runner.

On's pinnacle Helion™ HF offers lots of cushioning and maximum-energy return.

The midsole geometry is engineered to suit the running style of a non-elite runner. To explain further, the top midsole layer is a Pebax-based foam. Whereas the bottom layer is a TPEE based foam. This should translate into a bouncy, yet stable underfoot ride.

A polyamide Speedboard® - with 8% glass fibre infusion - is sandwiched between the two layers of foam. While this improves energy return, the plate construction is designed to offer a forgiving and supportive feel for heel strikers - specifically for runners who may spend 4.5 hours running in the shoes.
