The Maurten Gel 160 contains 40 grams of carbohydrates in each serving. Crucially, the Gel 160 uses the same Maurten Hydrogel Technology that has proved so popular in other Maurten products - such as the Gel 100.

As a reminder, Maurten's Hydrogel Technology uses just six natural ingredients. The biopolymer matrix contains a blend of fructose and glucose, with a ratio of 0.8:1. For the avoidance of doubt, this is the same ratio as the Gel 100.

One of the best things about this energy gel - and other Maurten energy gels - is that they contain no added colours or preservatives.

In simple terms, if you are going to be training or racing for a long time, the Maurten Gel 160 should allow you to consume more carbohydrates per hour in comparison to the Gel 100 (which contains 25 grams of carbohydrates per serving).
