The Altra Lone Peak 9+ GTX represents a premium upgrade to Altra's legendary trail flagship. It is purpose-built for technical trail running, fast-packing, and wet-weather hiking. The critical upgrade in the "Plus" (+) designation is the long-awaited integration of a Vibram® Megagrip outsole. This solves the outsole durability and wet-rock slipping issues of past iterations by providing elite, sticky traction across loose mud and scree.
Paired with a GORE-TEX Invisible Fit membrane, this zero-drop powerhouse wraps the foot in a fully waterproof, highly durable ripstop shield. It blocks external moisture completely without adding the restrictive, heavy bulk or heat-trapping discomfort of traditional waterproof booties. Balanced with a 25mm stack height and a responsive Altra EGO™ midsole, it delivers an optimal blend of protective underfoot cushioning and intimate trail feedback.
GORE-TEX Invisible Fit: Premium waterproof protection bonded directly to the upper, keeping feet completely dry while maintaining a lightweight, flexible feel.
Vibram® Megagrip Outsole: High-performance sticky rubber compound paired with aggressive 3.8mm lugs to deliver unrivalled traction on wet surfaces and technical ascents.
