Advice for Road Runners: The eagerly awaited Index.01 from Salomon is at the pinnacle of recyclability in the shoe market. This innovative shoe has been designed to be recycled once it’s reached the end of it’s running life, an exciting step in Salomon’s mission towards a circular product lifecycle.

After purchasing, you simply register the shoes on Salomon.com and will receive an email every 3-6 months, providing you with a shipping label to one of Salomons recycle centres. Once the shoes are no longer suitable for use, you can send them back to be separated for recycling. The upper, midsole and outsole are all recyclable and the materials are then re-used to manufacture Salomon products. For example, the midsole and outsole are made from TPU which is broken down into pellets. These pellets are then used to make ski boot shells in their Romanian factory.
