The norda 001A is built around three materials chosen for specific reasons: Arnitel® TPEE for the midsole, bio-circular Dyneema® for the upper, and Vibram® for the soleplate. Each material represents the highest performance option in its category, engineered together to deliver a shoe that works quietly across ultra-distance efforts without demanding attention.
The midsole uses a custom Arnitel® TPEE (Thermoplastic Polyester Elastomer) blend developed specifically for norda. This material demonstrates benchmark resiliency, strength, and mechanical property retention — properties that matter when covering serious distance across varied terrain. The energy return stays consistent, the support remains predictable, and the durability holds up through extended use.
The entire upper is seamlessly constructed with bio-circular Dyneema® — the world's strongest and lightest fibre. This isn't just marketing language; Dyneema® is genuinely the strongest fibre available, delivering exceptional performance whilst maintaining the lowest environmental footprint. The bio-based Dyneema® fibre uses a mass balance approach and is sustainably sourced. Bluesign® approved and ISCC certified. The norda x Dyneema® laces provide 4x the strength of standard laces with higher abrasion resistance, made from 100% recycled materials.
