The FWD Via has a midsole featuring Altra's nitrogen infused EGO™ FLO foam. This provides plush cushioning, but the cushioning feels smooth and responsive - and not overly soft.
The heel-to-toe drop is 4 mm, and when this is combined with a rocker shape geometry, the result should be a feeling of forward propulsion. The design should lead to improved efficiency when it comes to moving through the gait cycle.
The FWD Via utilises Altra's Original FootShape Fit - which is the roomiest of Altra's three footshape fits. This design should let your feet splay naturally.
